He called when he had a cancellation and was really flexible in working out a time that was better for my schedule. The problem was easy to fix but he lubricated the hinges so the door is so much quieter and explained all about future maintenance. I would definitely use Precision again.

I called at 1pm and was told someone would be at my home between 2 and 4pm. At 3pm Gary arrived, quickly diagnosed and explained my problem and set about to repair the issue. He worked efficiently, quietly, and cleanly! I have a 21st century garage door system now to let me in to my 1940s garage. Thank you Gary. I choose Precision because they could be there the quickest. But now we will call Precision because of the professional way they resolved our problem. Tom was absolutely outstanding in performance, appearance, knowledge, and personality. What a pleasure to have Tom a true professional come to our home. Five stars for Duane -- he was wonderful. He knew what he was talking about and offered additional advice about the quality of the original installation. His assessment of the situation and his initial quote were accurate, and he fixed the door quickly on the second visit and was very professional and respectful both times. However, I'm less than thrilled with Precision Door's pricing policy. I paid the $250 emergency fee the day I broke the door, May 16, to have someone come out and fix it that same day (it was Duane who came out that first time too). I was told that the bottom panel of the door would have to be replaced. So ultimately, I paid $250 to have my garage door closed and unplugged -- something I could and would have done myself. I was then still charged the full $450 price to have the repair done.

As it was explained when you booked the call, we charge an emergency service call after 8 pm. 80% of which goes to the technician to pay him for working beyond his normal 10 hour day. To then give you credit for the emergency service fee would make any business sense. Again we are sorry that you were dissapointed with our pricing, but we did give you the option to wait until normal business hours.
